A visit to Sami Siida museum at Inari
伊纳里萨米博物馆的点评
点评：This was one of our excursions from Northern Lights Village in Saariselka, and was utterly superb. Our guide Vivi was very well informed and kept us interested and engaged throughout the drive there and back to the Northern Lights Village. She also helped explain and interpret the museum for us where there was no English text available.
The museum is a fascinating window on Sami culture and history in the region and showed us so much more than we ever knew about the Sami people. There is also an open-air side to the museum with preserved original historic buildings showing Sami life back in the day. We really needed more time than was available to us, but loved every moment anyway. Our guide Vivi also took us to a river bridge and view point at Janiskoski as part of the excursion, and a quick stop at a Sami souvenir shop - both great places and again needing much more time that we had available.
