点评：This beautiful spot is only 19 kilometers (19 mi) east of Timmins. Great spot for our last day before an early am flight.
The numerous kettle lakes are the result of an enormous glacier at the end of the last Ice Age. Twenty of the 22 lakes in Kettle Lakes Provincial Park are kettles. There are lakes for swimming lakes for fishing and if you enjoy solitude you can find one all to yourself.
"The lakes are surrounded by forests made up primarily of jack pine interspersed with balsam fir, red and white pine, and white and black spruce. Stands of deciduous trees such as trembling aspen and white birch may also be found in the park."
The hiking trails are good for photography but the park is popular in summer so its harder than expected to spot wildlife. Some of the roads are rough so make sure you bring a 4x4 or at least a high clearance vehicle. Sorry this is not a KOA Campground in California, this is a wilderness hundreds of miles north of Toronto. There is an admission fee so don't drive past the gate on your way in. Souvenirs are available as well as sweatshirts if you didn't come prepared.
