Here’s the whole story: It appears to be impossible to get a $200 reimbursement from the travel agency VC Patagonia for a lake cruise with Turismo Lago Grey, S.A. The cruise was cancelled due to excessive wind. We were assured by the cruise company that the fare would be refunded through the travel agency where we booked it. After an extensive email exchange over several months with responses such as “we will make the reimbursement in a few days,” “we will reimburse you on Monday,” or “please be patient,” we have now reached four months with no return of our fare. This travel agency, VC Patagonia, is located right off the main square in Puerto Natales. Avoid it.
