点评：A closer reading of the Riverbend website might have prepared us better for our stay- but it clearly is a popular local spot and was an interesting stay at the end of our NM road trip. When we arrived the facility was packed with bathers - many were surely locals or visitors just enjoying a soak. The overall facility has a lovely location on the banks of the Rio Grande, a great collection of interesting facility features and a wide variety of artwork. Considering it was once a bait shop, the developers achieved a fun and entertaining transition. The operation is a combination of pubic hot springs and a motel and RV park. Check in was professional and efficient. We got our electronic wrist bands that serve as a universal key- the first of a bit of a technical overload in our suite. We had reserved one of the four sunrise suites, which was a large 2 person room / ADA bathroom, across the street from the hot springs. The main room has seating for 6 with a large hot springs soaking tub ( the spa jets didn't work on our tub however). The room also has a gas fireplace, king bed, kitchenette ( with sink, microwave, refer, forgettable 1970's freeze dried coffee and china/ glassware/ silverware), 65" flatscreen tv and a stacker washer/dryer. Was a bit odd that no dishwashing nor clothes washing detergents were supplied. The bed, linens and pillows were very good. The suite was handsomely decorated with much art and contemporary furniture. The ADA bathroom had a large zero entry shower, with good towels and toiletries, fog free mirror and VERY hot water- although City water pressure was pretty low. The Direct TV service had a huge number of channels along with streaming options and the internet worked well except when it didn't -which was most of the second day we were there. Beyond the TV and internet the suite was technology demonstrator- a series of remotes mounted on the wall controlled the HVAC, overhead lighting, ceiling fans window shades and a ceiling star projector ( that didn't work). Their suite instructions ,using a QR code, has videos on how to work each of these features. Honestly for us old folks it was a bug and not a feature. But there were lots of outlets and we managed to use the features we needed. We didn't reserve one of the 7 private pools, but likely should have- the public pools were very busy most of the time. Some were too cool for us- none were too warm- so limited choice. It is an intriguing place to soak if you can get a space in a pool that fits your temperature needs. There is no food service at the facility ( other than some beverages and forgettable early morning coffee)- fortunately there is a good grocery store and multiple restaurants within a reasonable walk or drive. A stay in the motel part of the facility requires a shopping trip to equip the room and a trip away from the facility to eat. The walk in soaking prices are about what we experience at other hot springs; the motel prices are based on dynamic pricing ( which they disclose on the website) and are a bit pricey ( or pricier depending on the time and demand). It was an intriguing stop to end our vacation.
