点评:Tours (approximately 30 minutes in length) of this traditional Malay house are offered twice a day at 11am and 3pm. Since we arrived early, they let us watch the 20 minute video beforehand about the restoration and relocation of the house. It was an interesting video with many details about disassembly and reassembly that were not mentioned in the tour. I recommend allowing extra time to view it before or after the tour. The guides that show you the restored house are interns and gave our tour in English. They enthusiastically explained each room in the house along with the furnishings inside. At times, we had issues with understanding all their words, but I’m sure your experience will depend on which guide is assigned to your tour. We were surprised to be asked to remove our shoes to enter the house and would have worn different socks if we would have known about that requirement.
