洛高宜野生动物园的点评
点评：We were initially apprehensive about coming here because of the reviews, but the children were keen to see the animals so we ended up coming.
We were pleasantly-surprised that they operated as a sanctuary, in collaboration with the local government agencies. Most of the animals here were rescued rather than captured for the purpose of display and commercialisation. This probably helps would-be visitors manage expectations about the variety of animals available, but also ease worries about travel with a conscience.
The guides were friendly and patiently explained details about the animals, how they were rescued, and the care extended to them. There were also attempts to educate the children on sustainability and conservation, which was great.
If there was a part that confused us, it would be that the gift shop was located right next to the entrance rather than the exit. Maybe a piece of feedback for the management to consider and work on?
