点评:Visited today for the Victorian Train Weekend.
As we walked onto the platform we met the first member of staff Richard. He informed us abruptly that we couldn’t go any further as the train was about to depart so we couldn’t get on it. My friend said that it wasn’t a problem as we had come to take photos and were not rushing for the train. His response was ‘The donation box is over there’ then turned his back and walked into the office, closing the door on us.
We were going to spend some time at the station, possibly have a train ride and would definitely have made a nice donation.
Due to the poor welcome that we received we decided not to bother.
Considering that this place is run on donations I believe you would get more if your volunteers were trained in customer service.
“Good morning and welcome to the station and can I tell you more about the charity” would be a good start !!!
Won’t be in a hurry to return
