I purchased tickets for this experience for my wife and daughter for Christmas at a cost of £60 plus £4.50 for the delivery of tickets.
We came to book the trip, which my 14 year old was really looking forward to, and realised we have misplaced the physical vouchers. I did have full proof of purchase with receipt from the business via email.
My wife called (after having several messages ignored) to explain the misplaced vouchers not expecting any issues, however the lady advised we would have to pay again in full! We reiterated that the vouchers could not be traced, we have full proof of purchase etc, we offered to pay postage for duplicate tickets, however best they would reluctantly offer was for us to pay half the total cost again. On principal, I refused to do this. As a result I am now left with a very upset teenager.
The owners attitude was dreadful and she spoke to my wife in an aggressive and condescending manner totally bereft of basic customer service skills. Basically implying that we were trying to con a free experience!
'If you bought jeans from Next and lost them would you go back in and ask for another pair' was one of her comments - No I certainly would not, but this is hardly the same as I've not physically been able to get what I paid for! (and for what it's worth they could learn a great deal from Next customer care which is exemplary in my experience). To even question a customers integrity is appalling.
Be very careful before parting with your hard earned cash to these money grabbing charlatans. There are plenty of wonderful alternatives in the North East to go instead.
If I could leave zero stars I would. No doubt a snotty response from the owner beckons.
