点评：Eco-Challenger and the team delivered an unforgettable Galapagos family vacation for us and our three kids (ages 9 to 16). Booking seven tours across four islands (San Cristóbal, Isabela, Santa Cruz, and Bartolomé) is a lot of logistics, but Eco-Challenger made it seamless. Even when they weren't running a specific tour directly, Fabo and his team constantly checked in on us to ensure everything across the other islands went smoothly. Fabo also made great underwater pictures and videos which he later shared with us.
Here is how our island-by-island experience unfolded:
⚬ San Cristóbal – Darwin’s Circuit & 360 Tour: Darwin’s Circuit set an impossibly high bar for the rest of the trip. Our guide, Fabo, was charismatic, deeply knowledgeable, and went above and beyond (even bringing great snacks) to make it delightful. Later, the 360 Tour delivered incredible snorkeling spots around the island, with the absolute highlight being Kicker Rock, where a group of eagle rays swam right below us.
⚬ Isabela Island – Tintoreras, Tuneles & Sierra Negra: The snorkeling here was phenomenal. Los Tuneles is a truly magical spot where you can peek into caves full of resting sharks amidst stunning volcanic formations. Afterwards, the Sierra Negra volcano trek offered a welcome change of pace into the highlands, showcasing otherworldly dry lava landscapes.
⚬ Bartolomé Island (from Santa Cruz): While pricier than most other excursions, it was well worth every penny. The boat ride is long, so having a comfortable vessel, a large crew, and a delicious lunch freshly prepared on board made a big difference. The island itself is magical, and the climb to the top delivers one of the most iconic views in the Galapagos. Our guide, Darwin, lived up to his legendary name with deep knowledge and incredible skin-diving skills.
⚬ Santa Cruz – Bahía Tour: Compared to the high-octane adventure of the other days, this was a much more relaxed and fun outing. It turned out to be the perfect way to finish our trip, giving our tired family a great chance to unwind and process all the wonders we had just experienced.
