Beautiful ride, but unfortunately did not meet expectations

点评：Positives: the horses seem to be very well taken care of and are sweet. We also really liked our guide, River. He was kind and easy to work with and let us have some fun on the long, 4 hour ride. The trail and scenery were really beautiful!
Areas for improvement: The description says the 4 hour ride is for advanced riders. The other 3 riders in our group had ridden like 10 times total leading to a long 4 hour ride of only walking because that’s all they were comfortable with. Bearcats needs to figure out a way to better vet riders into the appropriate ride group for them. We were limited by the other rider’s lack of experience. The “gourmet lunch” is a small sandwich with chips and a cookie. I’ll let you decide if that’s considered gourmet. Lastly, the description says they will tailor the ride to give you the adventure you want. No questions were asked of us and we were taken on a pretty routine (albeit beautiful) ride.
Recommendation: my comments are just to help you go into this with the right expectations. It’s a beautiful ride on great horses, but the description on their website for the 4 hour ride is not accurate. So it’s up to you to decide if what they actually offer is worth the price.
