点评:Książ Castle was built just before 1300 as a stone castle. It was expand a couple of times over the centuries with gatehouses in front. It is on a promontory above the surrounding area. Much of the history - from 1500ish to the early 1900s was under the Hochberg family - with 16 different people all named Hans Heinrich - and a lot around Daisy von Pless toward the end. Artifacts and furniture spans that time - with a skew toward around 1900. We got the English speaking audio guide and spent 90 minutes roaming the castle with it - stopping the guide a few times to take in the beauty. There were 3 different floors, I believe. During World War 2, under occupation, a railroad was built in the cellar area. You get a sense for life over a few centuries with excellent restorations. After touring the castle, there are extensive grounds with several gardens. We got a bit lost - but spent another 30 minutes exploring. Very well preserved with a lot of variety.
