Great venue for a golf society weekend.
Hellidon Lakes Golf Course的点评
点评：Myself and nine friends took our golf society to Hellidon Lakes for a weekend of golf and socialising. Overall, we had an excellent stay.
The hotel was clean and well maintained, and the staff were welcoming and helpful throughout the weekend. We booked a package that included an evening meal and breakfast, and the food exceeded expectations. There was a very good selection, and everything we had was well cooked and tasty.
The golf course itself was challenging and extremely well laid out, with a good variety of holes and complexities to suit different abilities. That said, as good as the course was, clearer distance markers would have been useful, particularly for some of the less experienced players in our group.
If we were to be critical of anything, parking was an issue on arrival. The hotel was hosting a martial arts event alongside several large groups of golfers, and it took around 20 minutes to get parked. Cars lining the drive reduced access to a single lane, which led to several occasions where drivers had to reverse the full length of the drive.
The hotel has a sports bar, but by the time we finished our round it was closed, so we had to get drinks from the main hotel bar upstairs. We were also a little disappointed that the sports bar did not have Sky Sports.
Despite these minor issues, we had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend and would happily return.
