Beautiful, Historic, and Fun to Walk Around.

点评：If you spend a day or so in the Savannah Historic District, you will see a lot of the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful across three centuries of history. This is a wonderful small city that has its striking squares and historic homes, along with various signs of its many ups and downs since the early 1700s.
You will want to come here for the charm, history, and architecture. As others note, this is a genuine historic city, not a Disney attraction, so, yes, it is not the best place for those with mobility issues. Still, we had little trouble getting around and walking through the 20 or so remaining squares is a pleasure. The people are very nice.
There aren't many places like Savannah left in America -- a city that is unique and looks like no other. They have lots of interesting independent stores and nice restaurants. You don't come here to see any one particular thing, but instead to enjoy the atmosphere and simply have a good time. You can learn about the history, or just enjoy yourself at a local establishment.
We took an historical tour through toursbylocals, which was great, but there are many others. They can help give you some background, which we appreciated, and it will increase your appreciation for the many sights.
