点评:We visited on a random Thursday in April and it was BUSY! We opted for the lift on the way up as it was 25 degrees outside so the walk up the hill was a hard pass from me.
The queue for the lift was fairly large but it moved pretty quickly. We were queuing for about 20 mins in total.
The lift gets you part way to the top. It does not take you to the very top so you’ll still need suitable shoes / clothing for the walk to the top as it’s quite steep.
The views from the top are amazing. It was worth the climb to the top.
However, what I found disappointing is that this does not look like a historical castle. Obviously repairs have been done, but there’s no attempt to keep it original, and so it looks very modern. So if you are thinking that you will be seeing a genuine historic castle, then you are wrong. And there’s a big ugly mobile phone mast at the very top!
Nevertheless, it’s still worth the visit. It’s completely free if you opt to walk up to the castle. Otherwise, it’s 2.70 euros per person to get in the lift. Personally, I thought the lift was worth it.
There’s a few cafes there’s and toilets too so plenty of facilities whilst you are there too.
We opted to walk back down from the castle and it was a beautiful walk back into the city.
