点评：Located close to the Xi’an Ancient City Walls, the easiest and cheapest way to get here is to take the Subway to Yong Ning Men station on Line 2. Exit the subway station via Exit A1 and make your way towards the South Gate of the Xi’an Ancient City Wall. The smart thing to do would be to combine this attraction with visiting the Xi’an Ancient City Wall on the same day, this way you get to do both locations on the same day as they are located close to each other. Regardless of whether you are on the wall or not, once you are through the Southern Gates, make your way towards the east.
If you purchased tickets to access the Xi’an Ancient City Walls, you get multiple re-entries for the rest of the day, until the ticket expires at 2200 hrs. To get to Shu Yuan Men, exit from the ancient city wall at Wen Chang Gate and proceed in a north-westerly direction. Shu Yuan Men is located a mere 5 minutes’ walk away.
Shu Yuan Men is a pedestrian-friendly place that emphasizes on the literary and artistic works of various artists and sculptors. There are literally hundreds of shops here where you may purchase calligraphy brushes, ink sticks and ink slabs, jade stamps, etc. There are also quite a number of noodle shops serving tasty noodles in a thick beef / mutton broth here as well as a couple of more modern western style coffee houses.
If you came from the Ancient City Wall, you may proceed back onto the wall and continue with your sightseeing.
