Amethyst Mine, Pyhä-Luosto, Lapland的点评
点评：We combined the Amethyst Mine tour with Bliss Adventure E-Bike tour. So glad we did this. We arrived from Pyhä by minibus with E-bikes in the trailer and started the ride on the main road first and shortly after joined the forest tracks.
The cafe before the final ascent served great donuts and hot and cold drinks. The donuts are a must. Outside the Artic Jays started to come in and our guide give us some nuts to feed them. As we were the only ones there they felt safe enough to land on outstretched hands to feed.
While other visitors arrived we headed off for the top of the fell, as they started to get on the catapiller vehicles.
We were first to the top and totally alone. The sun was out and the views amazing and we could see Pyhä quite clearly in the distance.
After a short talk in the warm with all the other visitors, by a very knowledgeable guide, we filed through to the mine. In winter it's under cover but in summer it's in the open air as the grems are on the surface so don't have to be mined.
We were able to keep a few gems we found but all too quick it was time to go. Outside the cloud had come in and the snow was falling, the views were all gone.
We started out decent ahead of the vehicles in the pieceful forest and back to Pyhä by taxi.
A fantastic attraction and great for children especially.
