点评：We recently spent a full day touring Normandy with Bertrand Saudrais, and I can't say enough good things about our experience. We had just finished visiting Berlin and Krakow with two excellent private tour guides, but I have to say Bertrand really stood out.
What impressed me most was his ability to tell the story of the Normandy invasion. Rather than just giving us dates and historical facts, he explained how everything unfolded, why certain decisions were made, and what the soldiers faced during the invasion. He has an incredible amount of knowledge, but more importantly, he knows how to explain things in a way that keeps you interested the entire time. There were moments when you almost felt like you were there on June 6, 1944.
This trip was particularly special because I was traveling with my 82-year-old father, who is a military veteran, and my two brothers. We wanted to experience Normandy together, and Bertrand made the day even more meaningful for all four of us.
He was also very personable, easy to talk to, and happy to answer all our questions. You could tell he genuinely enjoys what he does and has a real passion for the history of the area.
I've been fortunate enough to travel quite a bit and have taken many private tours over the years. Bertrand was easily one of the best guides we've had, especially when it comes to explaining history and telling the story behind what you're seeing.
I would highly recommend Bertrand. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with him, and it's an experience my father, brothers, and I will always remember.
