点评:We took the very frequent train from Hakata to Kidonanzoin-mae. Journey is about 20 mins and costs 450 Yen.
Leaving the station, we walked across Melody Bridge to dine at Kojin Chaya. We had 2 bowls of soba noodles with beef and seaweeds respectively. There are many other choices in the menu. Restaurant is bright and simply decorated. Across the road from the restaurant is the entrance of Nanzoin Temple. Foreigners need to pay an entrance fee of 500 Yen each. It is built on the slope of a hill so there is lots of greenery and nature to enjoy. The view of the lush green surroundings is breathtaking too. The walk to the reclining Buddha is not too long and it is a cool walk through a tunnel and a shaded ramp. This Reclining Buddha is one of the largest in the world. An enjoyable visit enhanced by the wonderful green surroundings. After this visit, we took the train to visit Umi Nakamichi Seaside Park.
