This collection deeply disturbing and entirely unsuitable for children. Many of the exhibits appeared to focus on explicit sexual themes, distorted human forms and imagery that are disgusting rather than artistic.
I appreciate that contemporary art is often intended to provoke a reaction, but in this case the overwhelming feeling was one of discomfort and revulsion. Several installations left me questioning why such content is presented in a venue that actively welcomes families.
Before visiting with children, I would strongly recommend researching the collection and viewing the artworks online first. It is unsettling, bleak and inappropriate for a family day out.
This was not an experience I enjoyed and I would not return.
And btw, this Tracey Emin not only not atrist, but merely plagiarised Rodin's work.
