Nice Day Trip to Heidelberg
海德堡旧城区的点评
点评：We took the train from Stuttgart to visit Heidelberg for the day. The Old Town is very charming with lots of nice shops, churches and monuments. The Heidelberg Castle can be seen from many of the squares in old town and there is a very nice bridge here as well. When we visited we took the bus right to the funicular near the city hall to access the Heidelberg Castle, came down after spending a little over an hour and then walked back to the main train station via Hauptstrasse. Hauptstrasse is a pedestrian street and has a lot of nice stores and restaurants so you can find some good souvenirs or a dining option that fits your plans.
We had planned to see the Christmas Market of Heidelberg but the main sections closed the day before we arrived so it is worth confirming on a couple of websites before you go especially if you are planning to visit closer to Christmas like we did. There were some smaller markets still open at Kornmarkt and Bismarckplatz when we visited. The Old Town is a nice area to visit and we would recommend a day trip to Heidelberg if you have time in Germany.
