点评：We spent a breathtaking three hours on a private boat tour. From navigating the dramatic coastline to slipping into the quiet waters of the hidden sea caves, every moment was a highlight.
Our captain, Donny, was an absolute superstar from the second we stepped on board. Warm, welcoming, and deeply knowledgeable, his boat-handling skills are truly second to none. He went entirely out of his way to ensure our teenage daughter had a thrilling, hands-on experience that she will carry with her forever. Diving into those glowing, surreal aquamarine waters together was a true bucket-list moment for our family.
Yet, swimming alongside these ancient sea turtles also brought a poignant realization. While our own trip contributed to the traffic, it is impossible to ignore the heavy over-commercialization of the bay, which poses a very real, mounting threat to this endangered species. For their survival, there desperately needs to be a hard cap on the volume and size of vessels allowed near them, as well as a strict, zero-access policy to nesting beaches during the peak breeding season.
This is a broader observation, and in no way a reflection on Welcome to Zante or Donny. In fact, Donny himself spoke with immense passion and urgency about the critical need for enhanced conservation. It is precisely because of dedicated guides like him that we hope to see a quieter, more sustainable future for this beautiful corner of the world
