点评：We spent 3 full days with John and had the pleasure of receiving his wonderful knowledge and wildlife spotting abilities. The Delta is vast and full of tiny back channels that John navigated so skilfully, and are full of beautiful surprises. Time ceases to exist and we forgot all about our ordinary lives, becoming immersed in the magic of this place. My husband took around 6000 photos in 3 days, and although they were mostly of birds (including some rare ones like the red-footed falcon) there were also wild horses, donkeys and cattle. A totally amazing area to experience and with John as our guide we knew immediately that we were in the hands of the master. Kind, funny, knowledgeable and extremely thoughtful.
When we returned from our tours with John, his wife Elena would check with us what time we would like to have dinner. She cooked up a feast for us each night and we feel very fortunate to have experienced such delicious traditional fare, for both dinner and breakfast. Elena is a wonderful kind person and nothing was too much trouble for her. The rooms at Casa Calin are very comfortable, clean and toasty warm, with a good ensuite shower.
John and Elena are a power couple , each of them fabulous at their respective roles. We miss them and wish them all the very best for their future ( restaurant and some more accommodation currently being built ) ❤️
