The perfect way to explore Papa Westray Island

点评：I’ve wanted to take the world’s shortest scheduled flight, from Westray to Papa Westray, for ages. The only challenge was that we’d have around seven hours on the island — so we booked a tour with Jonathan at Papay Peedie Tours, and we’re so glad we did.
Jonathan was fantastic and showed us every corner of this beautiful little island. We visited the Knap of Howar, the one and only shop, and even the island’s only pub — which, as Jonathan explained, is actually a cupboard in the hostel’s common room! Naturally, it’s called the “Pubboard” — one of the many little touches that made the tour so memorable.
We also took a gentle hike out to see the Great Auk statue, with fantastic views along the way. Papa Westray itself is absolutely stunning: serene, unspoiled and incredibly peaceful, with beautiful beaches and a real sense of getting away from it all.
If you’re visiting Papa Westray, Jonathan’s tour is by far the best way to discover the island. He brought the place to life and made the most of our limited time there.
