Seeing Inishmore in a Whole New Light – An Absolute Must-Do!

点评：This was my fifth time visiting Inishmore, but my first time taking a guided tour. On all my previous trips, I explored the island by myself, either walking or hiring a bike. This week, I was traveling with my wife and our three teenagers, so we decided to try something different. When we stepped off the ferry, we found the Celtic Tours bus waiting, and it turned out to be the best decision of our trip!
From the very beginning, the experience was incredibly welcoming. Our guide, Patrick Hernon, was fantastic. He was wonderfully positive, optimistic, and proactive. Before we even set off, he clearly explained exactly how the tour would work, how long it would take, and the price. There were absolutely no hidden surprises—except for how blown away we were by the experience itself.
The tour, the live commentary, and the overall exploration of the island were just amazing. Honestly, I’m quite surprised I never did this on my previous four visits! I have passed by these various houses and ancient fortifications multiple times over the years, never knowing the deep history behind them. Patrick brought it all to life.
What really stood out was his delivery. It wasn't a dry, scripted lecture at all; it was highly interactive, engaging, and passed the time in a fascinating way (which is no small feat when you are trying to keep three teenagers entertained!).
I cannot recommend Patrick and Celtic Tours Aran Islands enough. If you are heading to Inishmore, definitely book this for a comfortable, luxurious(not crowded), and highly entertaining way to see the island.
