点评:A windefukly unique way to experience one of Newfoundland’s gems. My young adult kids were keen to try something distinctly “unToronto” and our day in Petty Harbour was it. We had such a fun day with Kimberly, Captain Leo and the entire F4S crew. It felt like we were hanging out with new ‘old friends’. They shared stories and we learned about the local history and marine life. My daughter donned a yellow rubber outfit and was delighted to haul in giant cod, her fake nails be damned. My son cut the tongues out of our haul of fish and put them in the fry pan for a way-tastier-than-we-thought-they’d-be fried cod tongues. Captain Leo showed us how to fillet and gut a fish and Meghan helped us create unique fish art. We had two wonderful meals from the day’s catches and the biggest ice creams we ever did see at Tinkers. We so appreciated the laid back atmosphere and the forced slow pace of the local landscape and its people. An ordinary day in Petty Harbour was pretty extraordinary for us.
