点评：Worst Stay We've Ever Had - Avoid at All Costs!
Place is a state…thought we were in Diggerland
This was, without a doubt, the worst accommodation we’ve ever experienced. We booked a lodge a month in advance, specifically because their website advertises a wellness centre on site—something that was essential for our stay. Imagine our frustration when we tried to book it, only to be informed it was closed! No one had the decency to inform us of this beforehand, nor were we offered any compensation for the false advertising.
When we asked to cancel the booking due to the wellness centre being unavailable, they flatly refused and offered no refund, despite the fact that we booked specifically for that reason.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, we were promised peace and tranquility. Instead, we were met with a lodge facing a busy A-road that roared with constant traffic noise throughout our entire stay. So much for relaxing.
Saturday was an absolute nightmare. The “peace and quiet” was further disrupted by watersports events happening right in front of our lodge, just steps away from our door. To top it off, Saturday night featured a loud, illuminated SUP board event (which they never bothered to inform us about). We had 150 glowing SUPs blaring music and passing right by our terrace. Absolutely ridiculous.
Oh, and did I mention our view? Instead of the picturesque scenes we had hoped for, we faced a housing estate—nothing remotely peaceful or scenic about it.
We were so frustrated that we ended up leaving a day early, but the nightmare didn’t end there. Three days after leaving, we were informed they were keeping our £250 deposit for supposed water damage to a door—which we had no part in! As of now, they’ve provided zero evidence of the damage or costs. Scammers.
Do yourself a favor—read all the reviews before booking and seriously consider staying elsewhere. This place completely ruined our getaway. Avoid at all costs!
