点评：This place is amazing! I was a little iffy about going after reading a few reviews but I decided to check it out anyway! I am so happy I took my kids!! They wanted to stay and feed the animals longer. Fish are monstrously huge! If you’re a fan of River Monsters then you’ll enjoy seeing some of the river monster fish up close like we did. I won’t spoil it but they have a massive Rainforest caiman predator fish called the Arapaima. No other aquarium in CT I’ve been to has had it. Some of the animals were sleeping so they had no interest in eating. The ones that were awake had tons of food in the cage from previous visitors. However, some still bounced over to take what was placed down the chute. Since CT is too cold for a wallaby they created an indoor interactive habitat that was cool. I honestly thought I’d only see one if I was in Australia. These are experiences I usually have to leave Connecticut to have. After going and comparing it to reviews I read, now I’m realizing why I have to go to places like Florida for these type of things. People go there and complain about waiting 15 mins to detour others. The fish exhibit I realized people complained about was set up as a natural habitat. Not a snorkeling in Aruba type of set up. The snorkeling Exhibit meant for snorkeling was clear. The aqua scape created a natural environment using waterfall to keep the water moving and provide oxygen. Some tanks weren’t crispy clear but it reminded me of a natural water view after putting a waterproof camera underwater a few years ago to see the fish. Very realistic fish setting with some algae. I also saw they had a huge algae eater fish so it made sense why they’d want some algae. As someone who creates fish aqua scapes I understood the vision and it was achieved. A few reviews had me thinking the tanks would be full of unhealthy black algae but thank god it wasn’t. My only complaint is that I wish it was larger. We would’ve liked to feed more animals but was perfectly happy with the ones we got to feed. We’ve been to the zoo and the local CT aquariums tons of times and this place had animals and fish I thought we’d have to leave the country to see! It was good to not only see them, but feed them as well!!
