点评:This sanctuary is completely dependent on private donations with absolutely no other assistance. They rescue and rehabilitate wildlife that are abused, orphaned, or maimed by the roadside. Today we met the dingoes, koalas, wombats, cockatoos, echidnas, and others in this very special place. My husband couldn't navigate the steep terrain to experience the 20 minute keeper talks for the different animals, so the keepers and sanctuary owners brought each animal to him! Unlike most other sanctuaries where you can only see and photograph the animals at a distance, here you can hold them, stroke their fur, even watch a persistent wombat chew on his keeper's shoelaces! It's absolutely magical. What life affirming encounters these are! Here's just a few pics from our visit that don't come close to how we all felt at Jirrahlinga. 💓
