点评：It’s been a few years since I last visited these majestic beeches. I’d been warned by local friends that storms had wreaked havoc and they were right. My husband and son were underwhelmed on their first visit. The positive news is that there are saplings and young trees growing in some of the gaps.
Gracehill House is in the most awful state. I’ve no idea who is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of this Georgian house but it desperately needs repair.
The walk from the car park to the avenue is unappealing and uninspiring. So much more could be made with the history of the estate, the Game of Thrones filming and the local area but no! The cafe and gift shop looked dull and didn’t entice us. And best of all, if you need the loo, you. to buy something in the nearby hotel first.
