Cool Photogenic Site, But Time and Popularity Are Taking Their Toll

点评：The Dark Hedges, at their prime, were quite cool and they were the setting for several scenes in the Game of Thrones series.
But there was a problem. The trees, now roughly two centuries, were suffering the ravages of age, the tourist traffic was accelerating their demise, and winds and other forces of nature have taken their toll. Thus, they are not what they were even a few years ago. Not quite half of the trees have been lost.
This is still worth a visit, but finding it will be a challenge. We followed our GPS, which seemed to work with some trial and error. We saw a French tour group arrive from the other end of the road, most likely from the Dark Edges Hotel. That may be your best bet in a pinch.
If you are patient and can wait for the tour groups to pass, this is still a striking site and you can take some nice pictures, but it won't quite be the place you might be envisioning.
