点评：The weather forecast was not great so we were looking for something g to do under cover and found Locomotion advertised as a railway museum. The website does not do the museum justice - it is an off shoot of the national railway museum and is well worth a visit whatever the weather ! An enormous variety of railway engines, carriages and wagons showing the history and evolution of trains and what is a very historic and significant site of railway history. You are able to get up close to the exhibits and there is an extensive shop and restaurant. In addition to the 2 large sheds there are outside exhibits together with historic buildings from the nearby historic Darlington railway. There are also plenty of hands on items for youngsters to enjoy. This museum is the highlight of our visit to the Bishop Auckland area
