Horrible experience
The owner doesn't want you to see this review. He has sent me insulting emails after I was left on the dock because they left early and after I told the truth here about my experience with booking, communication, being a solo traveler, and the unprofessional insulting comments emailed to me by the Captain of this boat.
He asked trip advisor to remove my original review because I posted exactly what he said and he cited that was plagiarism. It was quoting him verbatim so you could see how mean he was to me. Well trip advisor asked me to resubmit because they felt my review would help others.
In his emails to me regarding this tour booking, he insulted me saying I couldn't get up on time, that I traveled alone on this trip because no one wanted to be with me and he banned me from ever coming on his boat.
Bullying someone for being sad they missed a boat tour by being 1 minute late is pretty harsh. Thank God I'm not a person with thin skin.
There are people out there who would take things like this to heart.
On to the review of this company. You can only reach the company by email. They don't answer the phone line or return calls.
It is difficult for any solo travelers to book. The web site doesn't allow you to book just for 1 person.
So I called left a voice message. I also emailed. Finally got a reply to the email to come to the dock the day I told the Captain I wanted to take the cruise.
The only response I received for my request to book was to bring cash no other instructions.
The website states the cruise is at 11am.
I showed up at 1101am as per my GPS arrival time and the boat was within ear shot maybe 100 yards. I honked the horn tried to get their attention. They just speed off and left me standing there. I had really been looking forward to this the whole trip. Now my trip was ruined and I was leaving for home the next day.
In summary, if you are just a party of 1 you will have issues booking.
If you are even 1 minute late you will be left behind. If they leave before 11am which is on them, you will get left behind. They won't come back for you even if they see you standing there.
Then adding insult to injury if you are late and say you were sad or make any comments that the Captain gets upset with he will send you back slew of the insulting emails attacking you personally.
The Captian no doubt forgot that he told me to come on the trip. He assumed that without him or anyone from his company communicating with me that I would have known what time they want guests to arrive. Or he thought this person is late even 1 minute. I will show them. Who knows.
Maybe everyone who booked online received an automatic email telling them. After I had issues booking I didn't look any further online.
Since the Captain booked me himself maybe he could have either told me what time he wanted me there if it was other than 11am or have an email with instructions sent to me like most businesses do when they confirm a booking.
The Captain lectured me in one horrible email that no where in the universe could anyone board any transport 1 minute late. We all know that is not true.
Last night for my boat trip in St Lucia we waited 17 minutes for 1 couple! They were so happy they made it.
I've been on 2 other boat tours in the Bahamas where we turned around to pick up guests who got lost. It happens. Companies that value their guests or see them as people treat them with respect and don't behave in this manner.
Hopefully this helps others avoid the issues and personal attacks. I am a sweet kind person traveling alone because my friends and family didnt have the vacation time and or funds to join me every trip. All I wanted to do was enjoy a boat cruise. I didn't deserve someone attacking me personally for pointing out valid issues. That is not professional.
