点评:I had heard lots of great reviews about the trek to a hidden waterfall in Kutuh with the guide pak Nyoman. I also heard that it was tough so I wasn’t sure whether to propose it to the group of friends that we were traveling with as there were many children (from 6 yrs to 17 yrs). In the end everyone wanted to go and we did not regret it! It was such a humbling experience. Nyoman came with another guide as in total there were 15 of us! They were really great, helped us when we needed a hand going down and up. They made walking sticks from branches of trees found in the jungle. And they carried all the water bottles and a watermelon!!
The trek was indeed tough but well worth it especially once you get to the waterfall. It was simply breathtaking!
After the trek we tasted some delicious Balinese food. We also saw that Pak Nyoman gave free English lessons to the children in the village. We gave him some tip at the end of the trek and he was so happy and grateful and mentioned that it would be used for the school. If you would like to experience something authentic and off the beaten track then you should definitely give it a go.
