点评：Our 12 day private guided journey with Season Tours, Gunnar Þór Gunnarsson AKA Gunnsi included the Golden Circle and Ring Road where we experienced rain, wind and mostly sunshine and the beautiful wonders of Iceland.
The guided tour was enriched by Gunnsi’s storytelling of Sagas of Icelanders, history and culture. His expertise of geology (tetonic plates, glaciers, volcanoes, lava fields, geothermal activity, waterfalls) and plants supplemented our excursions. (The lava fields are covered with moss so I had to taste the delish moss soup.)
As we safely traveled around the country in a comfortable Mercedes Benz Sprinter van listening to popular Iceland music, sharing delicious Icelandic meals, staying at quality hotels, Gunnsi prioritized safety while touring, for example-watched a video of sneaker waves at Reynisfjara beach before we left the van to walk along the black sand beach and search for puffins.
The magical Icelandic landscape we encountered as well as Gunnsi’s fascinating stories created a fabulous Icelandic journey. Gunnsi gave access to a file with a collection of his photos of our trip and he sent us an updated itinerary with specific locations and attractions we visited to document our amazing vacation.
Traveling with this group of friends and Gunnsi’s passion to share his native country made my trip to Iceland a lifetime adventure. I appreciated Gunnsi’s knowledge, humor, and kindness.
