点评:Whenever we visit a place we've never been before, we look for a food tour to introduce us to the city. In our experience, the best tours are the ones where you click with the guide.
From the moment we met Chef Erin Rowe, we knew we were in for a treat.
First, the particulars (which are helpful in a review). It is a walking tour that happens rain or shine, and fortunately for us the rain lifted as soon as we bought a poncho and umbrella from a conveniently located Walmart. But had it continued raining, we would have been fine as the stops along the tour are not far apart. This is also good to know if anyone in your group has mobility challenges. They should be able to manage easily. And the food at each stop is really good but not so much cumulatively that you feel uncomfortably full and in need of a nap.
What really makes this tour shine is Erin's personality and enthusiasm for NWA (we're cool now so we use the acronym). Within minutes, we felt like we'd known her for years and were hanging out with a good friend. She gave us the history of the area and pointed out some interesting things around downtown that we wouldn't have noticed otherwise. Erin is an incredible ambassador for the region.
When (not if) we come back to visit, we will definitely book a tour with Erin again.
