点评：We recently had the absolute pleasure of hiring the Ollie Owl canal boat from Cafwin Cruises, and it exceeded every expectation we had.
From the moment we stepped on board, it felt like a true home from home rather than just a hire boat. The interior is beautifully done — cosy, stylish, and incredibly well thought out. Everything was spotless, and it was clear a lot of care has gone into making sure guests have everything they might need.
And I really do mean everything… we even found a rolling pin and mixing bowl on board and ended up making fresh scones to enjoy as we cruised along. It’s those little touches that make such a difference and turn a lovely trip into something truly memorable.
Cruising itself was just bliss — and the near-silent cruising on an electric boat made it even more special. The smooth, quiet journey really lets you soak up the surroundings in a way that feels incredibly peaceful and unhurried. Whether moving gently along the canal or moored up somewhere quiet, Ollie Owl is the perfect place to switch off.
We also met some wonderfully friendly and helpful volunteers from Canal & River Trust, along with knowledgeable lock keepers who were full of good advice and always happy to lend a hand. It really added to the whole experience and made everything feel easy and welcoming.
It’s also worth mentioning that Ollie Owl is dog friendly, which makes it even better for anyone who wants to bring their four-legged companion along for the adventure.
Cafwin Cruises were fantastic from start to finish — friendly, helpful, and clearly take great pride in what they do.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ollie Owl to anyone considering a canal boat holiday. It’s a wonderful boat run by people who genuinely care, and we’ll definitely be booking again.
