点评:I know that things cost money but £12.75 entry each with no discount for pensioners is a lot of money. We were on holiday in the area so thought we would visit .
For value for money I wouldnt recommend visiting .
The zoo is very sparse on animals and looks quite run down
The Lemurs enclosure seemed very small and although the penquins seemed happy enough ,their enclosure looks aged and their swimming water was green . Not much else to say about the zoo .
The house was quite interesting to visit especially the Amy Johnson memorabilia area .
The gardens are well cared for in the main but was a shame that season wise the roses and many perennials were not in flower yet.
We thought we would go and look at the plant sales but it was full of a dog walking group having a chat so didn’t bother.
All in all we stayed with a stop for coffee about two hours and didn’t think it was a value for money tourist attraction.
Maybe discounted tickets until the gardens are in full bloom would be a fairer ticket option .
