Kilkenny Famine Experience的点评
点评：I had read such glowing reviews, my expectations were high. I was very disappointed.
As described, it's in a modern shopping center built in the location of a Workhouse that existed during the famine. The 'experience ' was free until the last year or so. It is now 5 euros for the audio tour via your phone. Although I like everyone else have a phone, but not knowing the scheme left it in the hotel charging. Fortunately someone had left a map of the stops. Each location had a plaque with a few lines of description about the Workhouse. So essentially 'the experiece ' is looking for about a dozen plaques around a modern shopping mall and reading or listening to a few lines of description. Frankly, time would be better spent looking up the Famine and Workhouse in Kilkenny. But if you are inclined to go on the plaque hunt, it starts at the unmanned customer service table which you'll find across from the 'Next' store.
