Conical Hill的点评
点评：Conical Hill sits just to the north of the town centre in Hanmer Springs. You can walk up a trail made up of a series of switchbacks to the top where you are afforded 360 degree views including the town centre down below. You'll find a covered rest shelter and picnic table at the peak. There are public toilets at the foot of the hill and beginning of the trek.
The trail is roughly 2.5 km up and back and is a steady uphill ascend around 150 metres through a lovely mature forest with very tall and mature trees. Proper shoes are best if it has been raining as the trail might be a bit wet and muddy. Otherwise, not a difficult trail and good opportunity for a bit of walking and exercise if staying in Hanmer Spings.
Note: Looks like there is a longer loop trail that starts here and encircles the township to the east and back up Conical Road, providing longer walk opportunities for those looking for more things to do around town.
