点评：We had been in Oviedo for a week already and had not set foot on the historic district. The current museum building seems to have been designed by combining a few adjacent historic buildings, of which the street facade was preserved it in a very clever way, then building the museum detached from said facades, creating a liminal space that marks the entrance.
Although I admired the building, it is not the protagonist; the art still is. The collection is well curated, with amazing pieces, again old and new, juxtaposed in a way that shows what influenced or inspired the newer, seemingly unrelated pieces.
Roman ruins were preserved underground; a three-story atrimum with a stunning skylight organizes the space.
Best of all, FREE.
