点评：I spent two very different birding outings with Savio — a boat ride on the Zuari and a quiet visit to the Curtorim wetlands — and both were deeply rewarding in ways that go beyond checklists.
Savio brings immense local knowledge, but more importantly, he brings presence. There was no rush, no pressure to perform, no ticking of boxes for the sake of it. We simply took in what the landscape and birds chose to offer us that day — and yet, somehow, he always seemed to know where to look.
What I appreciated most was the ease of the experience. Soft conversations, space for silence, time to observe behaviour rather than just identify species. It felt less like a “tour” and more like being gently guided by someone who genuinely loves these places.
If you’re looking for dramatic promises or a rushed species-count, this may not be for you. But if you’re willing to slow down, to listen, and to let the experience unfold naturally, Savio is a wonderful companion to have.
Highly recommended for anyone who wants to feel Goa’s birdlife, not just photograph or list it.
