Amazing Cathedral with very helpful volunteers
卡莱尔大教堂的点评
点评：We visited Carlisle Cathedral on a very wet and windy day, and we were greeted with a warm and gracious welcome by the volunteers. They were very knowledgeable and explained a little about the history of the cathedral and encouraged us to explore to find out more for ourselves.
The volunteers were positioned around the cathedral and were happy to answer any questions that we had.
Special mention to Julie who made the visit all the more pleasurable with her local knowledge, especially as we have recently discovered we have a family connection to the area, she was able to help us in our research.
The Cathedral itself is stunning, albeit one of the smaller cathedrals in England, it certainly packs a punch.
Highly recommend the café afterwards, especially for a nice hot cup of tea, a toasted sandwich, and a piece of cake.
We will certainly visit again next time we’re in the area.
