点评：Beautiful temples at night — the show itself is secondary
The real highlight of the Abu Simbel Light and Sound show is simply seeing the temples illuminated at night. The lighting creates a completely different atmosphere compared to visiting during the day, and that alone made it worth going for us. It’s lit up for a short time after the show so be quick.
The show itself was good rather than exceptional, but still enjoyable and added some historical context while you take in the setting. If you’re already in Abu Simbel or staying overnight, it’s definitely worth doing for the experience of seeing the temples after dark.
Our hotel also confirmed that the old “minimum of 10 people” requirement is no longer an issue and kindly organised the tickets for us, which gave us peace of mind in case numbers were low.
Overall, a worthwhile experience mainly for the unique nighttime view of the temples.
