点评：It’s generally difficult to see platypus, so this seemed too good an opportunity to miss. Easy to book. Meeting point close to caravan/motorhome park, at the brewery. Note the work meet - we had assumed (and was not clear on initial booking) that transport would take us to the lake. Not so. You need your own, thankfully some others in the group had space otherwise we would have needed to fetch our motorhome, and the drive/road down to the lake is not ideal for this type of vehicle. The next issue is that it is a bit of hike to the lake from the car park. Not any issue for us, but at about 1km, and not flat, reasonable fitness and a decent pair of shoes required particularly if has been wet. Also worth remembering that whilst you will descend to the lake at dusk, it will be dark when you come back (or vice versa if doing the morning tour), so take a headtorch. Also long trousers and a jumper recommended as well as mosquito repellent if sensitive. After that, your tour is done in an open Canadian style canoe; two of them are lashed together, and the guide does all the paddling. Very safe and stable. Very informative about the platypuses, and yes we did see them, multiple ones, some very good views. We had binoculars, which did help, though can be difficult to use in poor light. All in all, very worthwhile, and thoroughly recommended.
