Chariots. Bravery carved in stone.

One very strong point of attraction during the Hampi Visit.
It is a paid visit and the charge covers for the entire complex. There is an electric golf cart to ferry you from the main road to the temple site.
The chariot is the main attraction, but, so is the mandapa or the complex within which the chariot is placed.
This is the same chariot which figures on our Bharat currency note of FIFTY RUPEES. Pride moment and a pride click too 😊
The chariot is not in a working condition and the stone horses attached to it, have been replaced by stone elephants by the authorities. The chariot looks amazing in the evening hues or the morning blues. Travelling during the summer afternoons is a serious no-no.
From this complex you would also be able to cover the stone weighing scale, the musical pillars and other interesting carvings which are big hit on the Instagram world.
A real good investment and a good tourism marketing push is what Hampi really needs!
Carry good amount of drinking water and hats to stay hydrated and to save yourself from any sun-burns. Parking is ample on the main road.
