Solo trip into southern Algeria

点评：I spent 2 weeks travelling solo in Algeria in November 2025 and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Adnane is brilliant. He arranged boarding authorisation needed for visa on arrival and all domestic flights, Algiers to Djanet to Tamanrasset, plus my camping expeditions into the deserts. In addition he had someone from the agency available when I arrived in each place so I had nothing to worry about in terms of logistics. All of the people who assisted me were friendly and helpful and ensured I squeezed the most out of the time I had available.
I spent the majority of my time in Djanet which is absolutely beautiful. Ali was a great driver, clearly knows the region like the back of his hand, every night he found a fantastic camping site that let me explore and get to a scenic viewpoint for sunset. Ahmed did all the cooking which was fantastic and always more than I could possibly have eaten. Hatem guided, he has a great sense of humour and it was really interesting talking about life in Algeria with him.
I had 3 days in Tamanrasset with Mustapha, Suleiman and Abood, who were also excellent.
I would recommend going to both Djanet and Tamanrasset, very different landscapes and experiences and only a short, inexpensive flight from Djanet.
Also, a big thank you to Halim for carting me around Algiers for a very long but enjoyable day of site seeing.
Lastly a huge thank you to Adnane and his wife who very kindly had me to their home twice for dinner, which was fabulous and much appreciated after long days travelling.
I cannot recommend Adnane and his team highly enough.
