点评:Lovely setting and great opportunities to see wildlife, and staff were very helpful and friendly. My long walk on the trails was, however, rather spoiled by almost being knocked into by cyclists not once but twice. I got talking to other walkers who were frequent visitors - they said this is a notorious issue on this reserve. The paths are often not wide enough for walkers and cyclists to use together, and cyclists seem to expect walkers to take evasive action without slowing at all. There were loads of them, too, often in large groups.
What could have been a lovely peaceful walk was really quite stressful as you never knew when more cyclists would appear. This could be quite dangerous for children or elderly people, especially in wet weather when the paths would be slippery.
Perhaps a separate bike trail is needed, or at least ban cyclists from certain trails to give walkers, especially those with children, the option of avoiding them.
