Incredibly uncaring staff at the Botanical Garden.

点评：We went to the botanical garden on April 23. We walked around the gardens which were nice. Mostly plants, not a lot of flowers.
We were having a nice time until we encountered a very unpleasant staff member.
We were sitting on a bench infront of the pond.
A monarch butterfly was fluttering about and accidently hit the water with its wing and landed in the water. It was struggling over and over to get up out of the water but the wings were wet and it was unable to. We tried to reach it with a stick but were unable to reach it.
There were three staff members in hip waders in the water in the pond working with the plants in the pond.
A younger girl was a distance from us, but about 15 feet from us was a woman and a guy.
My husband walked over with the intent to ask if they could simply lift the butterfly from the water as we could not reach it ourselves and they were standing relatively close to the struggling butterfly.
When my husband said hello the female worker said "im really busy is this an emergency?" very rudely.
My husband taken aback, then quickly explained about the butterfly. The women did not reply at all. She clearly heard what he said. She just ignored him and continued to work. The guy didn't even bother to acknowledge my husband.
We continued to try to reach the butterfly ourselves as we could see it flipping around in the water trying to get out.
The two workers could see us and just choose not to help.
5 minutes later they took off their gear and got out of the pond and just walked away.
Super disappointing that you would work at a garden and not care about the pollinators that keep your garden functioning. Especially an endangered Monarch Butterfly.
It would probably have taken 30 seconds for her to save the monarch, but she couldn't have cared less.
I had to walk away as I was very upset watching the Monarch drown.
I would not recommend this place.

在花园里工作，却对维持花园运转的授粉昆虫漠不关心，这真是令人失望。尤其是一只濒危的帝王蝶。
她可能只需要30秒就能救下那只帝王蝶，但她却毫不在乎。
眼睁睁看着帝王蝶溺水，我非常难过，只好离开。
我不会推荐这个地方。
