点评：Title: Massive Rip-Off - Overpriced and Underwhelming (UPDATE)
Visited Gigrin Farm (which is NOT a farm, it’s a red kite feeding centre) with my 8-year-old child recently and I’m absolutely fuming - this has to be one of the biggest rip-offs I’ve ever come across in Wales.
We paid £20 total and honestly, the birds were only interesting for about five minutes. After that, there was nothing to do. We were stuck sitting in a freezing cold hut with no heating or any kind of comfort, just getting more and more bored as time went on.
To make matters worse, there’s no play area for kids at all - my child was restless within minutes of the feeding being over. While I’ll admit it was cool to see the red kites up close, that brief moment of interest simply doesn’t justify the cost. For that price, you’d expect so much more - better facilities, things to keep visitors occupied before/after the feed, at least somewhere warm to sit!
Important note: You can easily see the red kites from outside the site for free - especially if you go at the 20:00 feeding time. There’s absolutely no need to pay £20 just to watch someone put beef on a field when you can get the same view without spending a penny.
Would not recommend to families or anyone on a budget - save your money and find a spot nearby to watch the kites for free instead.
