Wine and cheese lunch worth the small detour from the Zaanse Schans

点评：If you like wine and cheese, you will be very happy here. I should admit up front that I am probably biased, because I love cheese enough to plan a lunch around it.
Le Cockelon has been a local favourite since 1974, and it feels like it. The lunchroom is newer, and you reach it by walking through the shop, which is honestly part of the fun. I went on a Friday afternoon. The shop was busy, but the lunch tables felt calm and unhurried.
What I loved:
The staff were genuinely helpful. Ronald guided me through options without rushing me.
The charcuterie board felt like the full experience. Great variety, generous, and not heavy.
The wine was easy. I shared what I like, and they matched it. No stress, no overthinking.
What I ordered:
A charcuterie board with a mix of cheeses and meats
An in-house quiche, which I would order again
A crisp glass of wine that paired well with the board
A quick note on the olives:
I did not expect to care about the olives, but the sweet and spicy ones were the standout. I could snack on those happily.
Good to know before you go:
Lunch hours are limited (midday only), so plan it rather than winging it.
It is a great adult lunch stop, but it is not aimed at kids.
It is an easy bike ride or a longer walk from the windmills, and worth it if you want to step away from the busiest area.
I would go again, and I would bring anyone who loves cheese and wine.

从风车附近骑自行车或步行即可轻松到达，如果您想远离喧嚣，这里绝对值得一去。
我会再次光顾，也会带上所有喜欢奶酪和葡萄酒的朋友。
